HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

We hope you all are having a fantastic weekend and enjoying this beautiful weather. We have been busy this weekend, mainly spending time outside. Friday night was spent going through stuff to get ready for our Garage sale next weekend. Oh yea, and we played with our Wii for a bit, yes we bought one!! We are having a blast and getting sore muscles in the meantime. It's not as easy as you would think, but it's so much fun. Brinley likes to watch us bowl!
Saturday morning, we all got up early and were at breakfast at Cracker Barrel by 8:00 am, including Grammie!! We then went to G Boys to buy some new flower for our hanging pots outside and made our way to the grocery store after that. We were home by 10:30!!! We love getting out and getting stuff done early, you get more out of the day. We kept busy playing with Brinley and finishing up our cleaning for the family to come over that afternoon for a picnic. All of the family came over, but we missed having Marla's brother's family over. It wasn't the same without them. We fired up the grill and cooked some hamburgers and hot dogs! Calen even made smores on the grill. As you can see from the pictures, the kids had a blast.

Sunday came around and we went to church. While Brinley was napping we ran to Target and picked up a pool! Just a blow up pool but enough for us all to get in and get cool when it's hot outside. We then cooked out again this time having steak and corn on the cob. Brinley got her first taste of corn on the cob. She tried to eat but had little success, oh well, she had fun and we got some great pictures as you can see below.

Monday brings a day of rest and relaxation for Grammie, Marla and Brinley while Calen heads off to work, boo hoo! We'll probably jump into the pool since it's supposed to be in the mid-80's so check back for those pictures later. We'll see how much rest and relaxing we get, there seems to be a lot to do around here . Plus the almost 2 year old never leaves a dull moment!! She is a trip and so much fun.

We hope you all have a great rest of the Holiday weekend and we'll see you soon!
